Found in Translation Award 2024: nominations open
The Polish Book Institute, the Polish Cultural Institute London and the Polish Cultural Institute New York are now accepting nominations for this year’s edition of the Found in Translation Award, honouring the best translation of Polish literature into English in 2023.

Anna Zaranko received the Found in Translation Award 2023
At the end of November, at the Polish Cultural Institute in London, Anna Zaranko, author of the translation of Chłopi (“The Peasants”), published by Penguin Classics, received the Found in Translation Award, an annual laurel awarded to the author(s) of the best translation of Polish literature into English. The award was presented by the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland, Professor Piotr Wilczek, together with the Director of the Polish Cultural Institute in London, Bartosz Wisniewski.

Anna Zaranko receives the 2023 Found in Translation Award
The Polish Book Institute, the Polish Cultural Institute in London, and the Polish Cultural Institute in New York are delighted to announce that Anna Zaranko has been awarded the 2023 Found in Translation Award, for her translation of Wladyslaw Reymont's ‘The Peasants’, which was published by Penguin Classics in 2022.
